Women’s Rugby Sevens Final

Well done to Drew’s College Women’s Rugby Sevens team for their outstanding display of skill and sportsmanship at the 2025 Gala Day!

After weeks of delays due to rain, the girls finally managed to take to the field over the weekend wearing the Indigenous Round Jerseys sponsored by the Nick van Gelder Dreamers Foundation.

Drew’s proudly fielded two teams:

The winning side, captained by Olivia Oakeshott (Fr 2024), retained the Wayne Erickson Cup, against St John’s College.

Drew’s second team, co-captained by Lara Hunt (Fr 2024) and Gagara Farrawell (Fr 2024), also delivered a strong performance finishing fifth.
